NSWL is a joint venture (initiated by KLG Europe) of two leading logistics parties in Europe. A complete door-to-door rail service offered by KLG Europe under the name NSWL. It is a first-class door-to-door intermodal rail and logistics solution between China and Europe and vice versa. Total unburdening of the customer, reliability, knowledge and expertise are the central key. Four year after the founding of NSWL, we have grown into a market leader in temperature-controlled door-to-door transport by rail, to and from China. Rail transport is the modality of the future and more and more companies are recognizing the benefits of this sustainable, reliable and safe solution.
One of the advantages of going by rail from China to Europe is cost saving in capital costs due to the shorter transit times compared to sea freight.
Continuous developments and implementations of improvements and innovations are central to fully meet the needs of our customer. In addition to these unique services, we also offer the option of LCL (less than container load) transport. We are the partner for a sustainable, reliable and safe intermodal solution (from door-to-door).


Any size container can be used for intercontinental rail transport. Complete unburdening of rail transport starts with the container. NSWL has its own containers, but it is also possible to do transport by rail with your own container(s) or containers owned by the shipper.

The container solution that perfectly matches your needs and which is supplied by NSWL is always fully inspected. Completely in accordance with the correct certifications and applicable regulations, which depends on the goods to be loaded.

NSWL has its own fleet of approx. 150 conditioned, modified containers, all these containers are adapted to the conditions during transport via the New Silk Route. This knowledge ensures continuity, but we can deliver reliability through good equipment and the service of KLG Europe.

Through cooperation with our partner Unit45, it is possible to offer other solutions in addition to the standard containers. Such as containers or the transport of perishable goods, automotive, machines, finished goods, etc.

Temperature-controlled containers:

The reefer containers have been optimally developed with a view to sustainability. The container consumes fossil-free fuel, something that was not possible before because this type of fuel is sticky in nature. In addition, fuels are often exposed to extreme temperatures (-40 to +40 degrees Celsius) during transport via the New Silk Road.

Monitoring (24/7)
KLG attaches great importance to control and transparency. That is why we made a conscious choice with NSWL to have the transports under control by ourselves and thus to keep the service level optimal. NSWL can offer this transparency through its 24/7 control tower and real-time monitoring of its containers.

New Silk Way Logistics is a collaboration between two logistics companies, including KLG Europe. We have put our heads together in 2016.  Our motto was: “Who can share, can multiply”.

In 2016, we already had a high demand for freight transport to China. At that time, we saw a growth in the surplus of empty containers in Europe. There was an imbalance in rail freight traffic, mainly in a westerly direction. A unique opportunity to make better use of these containers that have to be returned to China and to fill this gap in the market.
