Transportation of ADR goods is familiar territory for us.

25 June 2020

Unlike other logistics companies, the transportation of ADR goods is familiar territory for us.
At KLG Europe we operate in many different sectors, including the industrial sector. Chemical companies are part of this sector. These companies also require transport, but the industry has stricter requirements that are linked to laws and regulations. Knowledge and training with regards to complex transport requests is necessary. We as KLG Europe have the right knowledge, skills and certificates (SQAS and EcoVadis) and know how to offer the optimal logistics services. We have gained knowledge of this industry over the years and understand the needs. Internally, our processes allow us to complete these complex applications safely and in accordance with legislation and regulations, based on training, knowledge and experience. This concerns the entire logistics process.

Our service linked to safety
Legislation and regulations are not to be ignored whilst transporting dangerous goods. At KLG, safety comes first, the safety of our employees, but also safety for the (immediate) environment. We take the transportation and handling of ADR goods seriously. As KLG, we do everything we can to ensure that we are always aware of the latest developments regarding ADR. For example, we actively follow training and courses. Every employee, from driver to planner to IT employee, we are all aware of ADR and what it entails.

Our people have a lot of experience and knowledge concerning requirements and regulations. We educate all employees who are involved with the transport of ADR goods. In addition, we employ special safety advisors who have specific content knowledge, so that we can provide immediate answers if there are any questions. Our motto is to be an advisor as well as a logistics service provider. We understand the challenges our customers face and want to advise and help where possible.

Safety is paramount
Our fleet is equipped to transport ADR goods optimally. The equipment of the vehicle must be complete at all times. Naturally, our drivers are in possession of the required ADR diplomas and receive periodic training to stay up-to-date and to comply with all laws and regulations.

Correct information is the beginning
The data of the received transport request is first tested on the basis of laws and regulations. There are various exceptions and limitations within the transport of ADR goods. In order to immediately provide our customers with the correct information and to provide good advice, we involve our safety advisors in the event of any ambiguities. This way we offer the most optimal logistics solution and we provide our customers with appropriate advice. The ADR goods are transported to the final recipient according to legal requirements and safety regulations.

KLG's Transport Management System (TMS) always has the most recent UN list of substances. This allows us to correctly process the correct and necessary information. All our (E) documents include the correct ADR related transport information.

The product and our references
Products such as paint, coatings, glue, pharmaceuticals, plastics, fertilizers and synthetic rubbers are some examples of products in the chemical industry. These products require special attention throughout the supply chain. High environmental and safety requirements are required. As KLG we know this market and we know what is expected. We have been a logistics service provider for, among others, DSM and Momentive Performance Materials.

How we can be of service
As a KLG, we have built up many years of experience with regard to ADR goods through our customer portfolio. We understand the requirements of our customer and support them with the development of logistic solutions. We can deliver ADR goods all over the world. We know the rules, restrictions and safety requirements of companies, loading and unloading locations and know how to offer the appropriate logistic solution.
