KLG Europe opens their 8th branch in Romania

22 June 2016

KLG Europe Logistics Romania, who celebrate their 10th anniversary this year is again expanding, with the opening of a new branch in Sibiu. Plans are also in place to expand of the branch in Cluj, and work has already started on a large extension to the head office in Bucharest.

After doing the first business in Romania ten years ago, KLG is in Romania in the limelight once again. This week the 8th office of KLG Europe will commence trading. This new depot, strategically positioned in the centre of Romania, in conjunction with expansion of Cluj and Bucharest, is in direct response to the increase in growth KLG are currently experiencing.

The warehousing facilities in Bucharest will again be extended after the extension of 10.000 sqm two years earlier. The investment of 5.6 million Euro, 2 years earlier has increased the total warehouse and cross-dock capacity by 20% to 50.000 sqm. Since the first expansion two years ago, KLG have seen production has increase by 30%, resulting in an increase of 15% more employment. The new expansion of 10.000 sqm is currently in progress and will be ready in September this year.

Dragos Geletu, managing director of KLG Europe Logistics Romania: We have seen a constant increase in revenue, number of clients and volume the last few years. The new expansion in Bucharest of 10.000 sqm will be dedicated for the use of ‘Flanco’; the biggest retailer in Romania for home appliance and IT. If this trend continues, it may not be the last expansion we see at the Head Office in Bucharest.
