KLG Europe signs Green Deal

26 August 2021

KLG Europe recently signed the Green Deal for the project “Sustainable Business Parks” project. The secretary of this project is the Foundation Business Parks and the “Sustainable Business Parks” project is based on two pillars:

  1. On the one hand, the project will focus on the transition from fossil fuels to collective sustainable energy generation on industrial estates.
  2. On the other hand, the industrial estates will be adapted to climate change. By infiltrating rainwater as much as possible and through a green layout, business parks can be made climate-proof.

To make a business park more sustainable, specific knowledge and organizational strength is required to develop initiatives. The approach of the foundation to facilitate in this creates collective possibilities. The “Green Deal” aims to provide the necessary impetus for this and has an important added value in the transition to sustainability.

This Green Deal was initiated by and drawn up in accordance with the format of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). The Green Deal is an agreement between parties to give space to innovative, sustainable initiatives from society. The aim of this deal is to bring all kinds of actors together around complex societal challenges that often require innovative solutions. These challenges are addressed through concrete actions. This agreement will leverage other future initiatives. In this way a network is created (community) and partners find each other faster and visibility is given to new, different and various initiatives.

More information about our vision on sustainability is available here.

This initiative is in collaboration with Foundation Business Parcs Venlo (website in Dutch).
