KLG Europe joins forces with logistics Venlo again to improve image of logistics sector.
06 September 2023Venlo - Various logistics companies, school communities, knowledge institutions and the Employers' Service Point North Limburg together organize 'Experience the Supply Chain' again. The successful event to make pupils, students and jobseekers enthusiastic for an education and career in the logistics sector will be organized for the sixth consecutive year.
A sector full of speed and innovation
The logistics sector is rapidly developing into a knowledge-intensive sector. Therefore, during "Experience the Supply Chain", the organizing parties want to give participants an attractive view into logistics and leave the prejudices behind. Many people still think of a job in logistics in terms of waybills and lifting heavy boxes. During the program, it will become clear that the sector today is dominated by speed, technical gadgets, innovation and sustainability plays an important role. Within the logistics sector, the demand for employees has risen sharply in recent years also. Employers are experiencing that it is becoming increasingly difficult to fill vacancies. The demand for good professionals simply exceeds the supply. Thanks to "Experience the Supply Chain", they can learn about this multi-faceted sector in an accessible way. This will plant the seeds for the future among this young target group.
Previous editions highly successful
The initiative proved to be very successful in the past. The event led to more internships in logistics and jobseekers embarking on a training program to get ready for a job or starting work straight away. Thanks to 'Experience the Supply Chain’ pupils and students from intermediate and higher vocational schools as well as jobseekers from the Employers' Service Point North Limburg were introduced to the multifaceted sector in an accessible way.
The parties behind this logistics tour
A number of companies from the Venlo region have been supporting this project for several years. Customs Support, Ewals Cargo Care, KLG Europe, LogicLeap and Seacon Logistics have been involved for years. A new initiator this year is Rhenus Logistics. The Employers' Service Point North Limburg invites jobseekers to get to know this very dynamic sector. This edition will take place at Supply Chain Valley, which is also co-organiser. The mission of Experience the Supply Chain is to strengthen the logistics sector in Limburg.

Working together
Venlo is known as a logistics hotspot and, as a region, offers plenty of career opportunities in this sector. By further improving the image and showing that logistics is actually innovative, the participating parties believe that the enthusiasm to want to work in logistics will be further increased. In a supply chain, cooperation and coordination is one of the most important factors. "Experience the Logistics Chain" is a unique cooperation with an eye on the future for educational institutions, government and enterprises alike.
