Our history

• Did you know that we’ve been around since 1918?

• We started in Venlo at the Ankerkade, later moved to Columbusweg 20, and eventually to Columbusweg 10.

• KLG Europe originally started in Luyksgestel.

• In 1947, we operated internationally for the very first time.

• In 2005, the official name KLG Europe was introduced.

• After World War I, we assisted with transportation during Europe’s reconstruction.

• In the 1980s, we shifted our focus to container transport and groupage to France.

• Our Waalwijk branch was established for a major customer project.

• In 2018, we celebrated our 100-year anniversary with colleagues and customers.

• We operate 16 locations: 3 in the Netherlands, 1 in the UK, 1 in Serbia, and 8 in Romania — plus KLG Trucking and joint venture NSWL.

• We recently expanded in Serbia with a new office in Belgrade.

• Our driver Joost appeared in vlog #1.

• Our warehouses cover an area equal to 19 football fields.

• In 2022, our brand-new facility in Eersel was officially opened.

• We have our own Logistics Vocational School in Eersel.

• And yes… we transport wine.

• We operate the newest-generation DAF trucks.

• A truck can drive up to 170,000 km per year, that’s four times around the world!

• We have 450 departures per week to France alone.

• Sea freight takes longer but is more cost-efficient than air freight.
